2007 Professor Lecture Series Kickoff
Starting Wednesday, April 18th we will be having one professor present a topic of his or her choice to the club (and anyone interested) every couple of weeks for a series of lectures that we hope will extend throughout the year and include all of the professors in the department. This lecture series is designed to allow for a more complete and ongoing discourse between the philosophy students and the faculty as well as to provide an opportunity to discuss topics not already covered in the current course selection. To start off this series, we will be having a double-header of sorts -- one lecture on Wednesday the 18th and then one again on Thursday the 19th. Dr. Whall will present Wednesday's lecture on aspects of aesthetic theory, and Dr. Stephens will provide Thursday's lecture on what has changed in philosophy since he was in graduate school. Each lecture will be at 7:00pm in the philosophy library (HB Rm 425A). We hope to see you there!
