Lecture: What it Takes to Do Philosophical Research

On Thursday, November 1 at 7:00pm, Dr. Arnold will be presenting to the philosophy club on "What it Takes to Do Philosophical Research." The talk will be aimed at breaking down the steps needed to engage in on-going or long-term philosophical work. The past several years Dr. Arnold has been working on such a project, and his talk will be centered around what he has learned along the way. Students interested in graduate work of any kind would benefit from this presentation (think dissertation), as well as students who are curious about the philosophical writing process. The meeting will be same place and time as usual, 7:00pm in the philosophy conference room (4th floor Humanities Building). Students interested in political philosophy will want to attend.
