Welcome to the UAB Philosophy Club website! The UAB Philosophy Club is a group of bright and motivated philosophy students coming together for a more well-rounded experience in philosophy. Our activities include both formal meetings and lectures as well as informal social get-togethers to just hang out and talk about philosophy. Philosophy majors, minors, and anyone interested in further pursuits in philosophy are welcome.

Good luck with your new club, y'all!
So where is all the information? Are there only these few posts so far?
Hey Scott, glad you posted. Yes, as of now, the philosophy club is in it's infancy; we've only had two meetings so far -- the initial one to see what everyone would want/expect from a philosophy club, and the meeting at the Museum of Art. As of now, we're keeping things simple to sort of take the pulse of the type of response we will get from the students. Soon, however, probably after the next meeting (the one about graduate school), we will talk about doing readings or having a faculty member give a presentation as the next formal meeting, and possibly have an informal get-together at a restaurant or bar. It takes a while to get some momentum, so that's what we're working towards.
On a related note, I don't have you signed up on the roll/information sheet we took at the first meeting; if you'd like to email me and give me your information, I'd be happy to talk more about the club with you. If you'd like to help take on any responsibilities in the club, that would be wonderful as well. My email address is sbnolen@uab.edu; so please contact me if you're interested. Also, if you could include, your email, major, class rank, and the times you would be available to meet with a philosophy club, I would really appreciate it. Again, thanks for you interest!
Hey Scott, I got your email. When I replied to it, however, I received an email back saying that there was a problem with your email server or address or something like that. Could you try it again? I'd be happy to meet with you about the club.
Club seems like a good idea, but not too many people have caught on. How many are in your club so far?
